Abstract
The article reports the connections between metabolic state and therapy resistance in multiple myeloma (MM). It shows that electron transport chain (ETC) suppression promotes resistance to proteasome inhibitors (PIs). It demonstrates that mitochondrial stress promotes PI resistance and explains the need for implementing combinatorial regimens in the mitochondrial metabolic state.
