Abstract
The article describes the case of an Ebola virus (EBOV)-positive lactating mother in Guinea, and her twin babies. Topics discussed include the findings which suggest the potential infectivity of breast milk for at least 26 days after Ebola virus disease (EVD) symptom onset, and evidence which shows that breast milk is infected by EBOV at a later stage of the disease than blood but then follows the expected replication kinetics seen in venous blood.
