Abstract
The article discusses cancer as a major public health problem in Sweden. Cancer is the second most common cause of death. It predominantly affects older people. Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women. Meanwhile, prostate cancer represents about 35% of all cancers in men. Breast, lung and skin cancers are increasing among women.
