Abstract
The article presents the discussion on the impact of Croatian Medical Journal on the impact factor. Topics include Journal arising from a community wider than the medical one and disseminating ideas reverberating beyond the scientific community; and employing a research integrity editor and one of the rare journals in the 1990s having a statistical editor among the ranks.
