Abstract
Evaluates the effect of a diet supplementation with canned sardines on the profile of plasma and erythrocytes, lipids, phospholipids and fatty acids in healthy subjects. Absence of changes in the serum levels of total cholesterol and high density lipoproteins; Observation of two types of fatty acids incorporating into plasma; Correlation between the w3 polyunsaturated fatty acids and the increased resistance of low density lipoproteins to oxidative stresses.
