Abstract
This article compares the diagnostic accuracy of endoscopic ultrasound guided fine-needle aspiration (EUS FNA) and endoscopic ultrasound guided fine-needle biopsy (EUS FNB) in the diagnosis of pancreatic and extrapancreatic solid lesions. The study included 89 adult patients with these lesions, and the results showed that EUS FNB outperformed EUS FNA in terms of sensitivity and diagnostic accuracy. The majority of identified tumors were malignant, with adenocarcinoma being the most common type. Adverse events were rare, with only one case of mild acute pancreatitis noted in the FNB group. Overall, the study suggests that EUS FNB is more effective in diagnosing solid tumors than EUS FNA. [Extracted from the article]
