Abstract
The article explores A 71-year-old female patient with known, longstanding JAK2 V617Fpositive essential thrombocythemia (ET) on hydroxyurea presented with fatigue and new bicytopenia (hemoglobin 70 g/L and platelets 89 × 10 9/L). The blood smear showed very rare blasts and no overt dysplasia (Panel A, Wright-Giemsa × 1000).
