Abstract
Introduction: Caffeine overdose, while uncommon, can be life threatening with hemodynamic and neurological complications and often requires intensive monitoring and critical management. Case Report: We report a case of a 23‐year‐old male who ingested approximately 24 g of caffeine in a suicidal attempt and developed cardiopulmonary complications. He was resuscitated, and hemodialysis was performed with successful recovery. Conclusion: Hemodialysis appears to effectively remove caffeine from the blood system and can be lifesaving in severe caffeine overdose. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
