Abstract
The article discusses the results of an investigation conducted by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention after the New York State Department of Health reported potential exposures of several clinical laboratories that participated in a Laboratory proficiency test survey. The center identified 916 laboratory workers with potential exposures to attenuated vaccine strain Brucella abortus RB51. The findings highlight the need for adherence to biosafety practices in laboratories.
