Abstract
In current scenario, many people prefer cloud storage because of the flexibility it offers to their users. Cloud computing provides a lot of benefits when comparing traditional on-premise servers such as no upfront cost, on demand availability, auto-scaling and ease of use. The cloud service providers (CSP) take measures to secure their data that is stored in the cloud, since they are prone to attacks and unauthorized accesses. In order to overcome this vulnerability, the proposed system implements ECC algorithm with Entity based Access Control (EAC). This system restricts the unauthorized access of data stored in cloud. This fine-grained access control for different entities deliberates the limitations on data accessing and data sharing. The system is developed and deployed to secure the student database in an educational institution and controlled sharing and accessing of student's assignments along with commenting by facilities. This project is developed a view of allowing students to showcase their assignment works by uploading them to a secured cloud storage and the other set of students can only view them. The performance of the ECC algorithm combined with EAC is compared with the performance of DES, AES and RSA based on key length, key generation duration, execution time and throughput.
