Abstract
The article highlights the patterns, changes and trends in temperature and salinity in the Arctic Ocean in 2013. Topics discussed include the increased solar absorption into the surface Arctic Ocean, upper ocean salinity, and freshwater content. Also mentioned are the reduction in sea-ice cover, and the average sea surface temperature (SST) during the season.
