The wildfire that happened across Oklahoma during the winter of 2005-2006 where 550,000 acres were consumed but only few livable structures were lost with minimal deaths and injuries were given a particular focus. The incident is attributed to the Oklahoma's investment in the Oklahoma Masonet that helped local authorities to make their pre-emptive decision about the disaster to lessen weather effects. The pre-emptive opportunity was used by OK-First to disseminate weather information properly to the affected people.
