Abstract
The article focuses on the research which aim to show the effects of fingolimod on B-cell populations in multiple sclerosis (MS) patients. It states that the frequency of B-cell population in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PMBC) were reduced 2 weeks after starting fingolimod. It mentions that the reduction of Ki-67+ memory B cells can be linked with the effectiveness of fingolimod in treating MS.
