The article reports that several groups in Canada have opposed Canada's transit pass tax credit. Some of the groups include Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives, Canadian Union of Public Employees, and Canadian Taxpayers' Federation. It is stated that the policy is an expensive and unproductive way to achieve its goals of encouraging transit use in order to improve the environment as well as reduce traffic congestion.
