Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 76-year-old man who was diagnosed with ectopic thyroid. Topics include detection of the presence of cholelithiasis and sludge, gallbladder wall thickening, and pericholecystic fluid in an ultrasound during the procedure of diagnosis; detection of a an aerobic gram-negative bacillus called citrobacter in blood culture; and occurrence of ectopic thyroid from the base of the tongue to the inferior margin of the cricoid cartilage and intra-abdominal parts.
