Abstract
The article focuses on top performing companies (TPC) among defense contractors for 2012. It states aerospace company Boeing was considered the best TPC according to a 2012 TPC study by magazine "Aviation Week" in the ranking of publicly traded aerospace and defense (A&D) companies. It comments on the effect U.S. defense budget cuts will have on A&D companies and the possibility of significant cuts if Congress and President Barack Obama cannot compromise on reducing the federal budget deficit.
