Abstract
The article focuses on the ability of new U.S. aerospace chief executive officers (CEO) to solve problems like their senior counterparts. Industry experts express doubts that the new breed of CEOs are up to challenges faced by senior ones such as setting research and development (R&D) budget. Some of the problems awaiting CEOs in 2010 cited by the authors are limited military budgets, new commercial policies, growth sustainability, aging workforce and new competition. Brief profiles of new CEOs are also provided.
