Abstract
The article reports on the impact of the global credit crisis on the aircraft industry in Wichita, Kansas. The industry performed well in 2008 as demand was at an all-time high for the business jets, turboprops and Boeing 737 fuselages. Among the business jet producers that have eliminated about 12,000 jobs due to the credit crisis were Cessna, Hawker Beechcraft, and Bombardier's Learjet.
