Abstract
The article presents an overview of methods that orthopedic surgeons can use to avoid complications, including the nonunion of the fracture, in the treatment of humeral fractures. A discussion of risk factors for nonunion, and of surgery which can be performed to repair the nonunion of the fracture, is presented.
