Abstract
The article discusses updates on admiralty and maritime law-related decisions issued by U.S. federal and state courts between October 1, 2017 and September 30, 2018. Topics explored include the awarding of punitive damages to a seaman plaintiff in Knudson v. M/V American Spirit, the analysis of shipowner's medical expense reimbursement procedures in Kalyna v. City of New York, and the negligence for damages being claimed by the plaintiff in Kressly v. Oceania Cruises, Inc.
