Abstract
The article offers information on the Heliophysics Education Consortium (HEC) which focuses on the study of the plasma environment of the heliosphere, sun, and Earth. Topics discussed include the consortium's 2017 focus on connecting undergraduate education and the August 21, 2017 solar eclipse, the construction of diagnostic assessment to improve the concept of eclipse, and the several education activities for preservice teachers and introductory astronomy education to students.
