Abstract
This technical report discusses a surgical method called "peristomal cerclage" used to repair stoma prolapse, a common complication after stoma construction. The method involves placing a vessel tape around the colostomy to fix the prolapse. The report includes a case study of a patient who underwent this procedure and had successful long-term results. The authors highlight the importance of reporting on the outcomes of this method as it becomes more widely used. They also mention that the procedure may not be suitable for all cases due to the risk of necrosis and perforation. [Extracted from the article]
