Abstract
Nine species of the genus Limatula and three species of the genus Limea are described and, of these, six species of Limatula and two species of Limea are described for the first time. In addition to their shell morphology, descriptions of the internal anatomy are given whenever sufficient material has made this possible. Particular attention has been paid to the form of the mantle margin and to the tentacles that it bears. Both genera are very conservative in form and there is considerable confusion in the literature as to the identification of the species. Because of this a list is appended of the known species that occur in the Atlantic together with the descriptive history of each species. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
