Abstract
The article describes the case of a four-year old girl who was diagnosed with atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome(aHUS). It identifies differential diagnoses such as ocular toxocariasis and persistent fetal vasculature and additional tests that could be performed like immunoglobulin M and G blood tests. The causes, ocular symptoms of aHUS and treatment options and management strategy for this patient such as oral albendazole , prednisolone and vitreoretinal surgery are discussed.
