Abstract
This work divides the personalization process of Adaptive Tutorials into the detection of the learner's characteristics and the errors found the learner's behavior. This paper is focused in the detection of the learner's characteristics as fundamental factors for the development of Adaptive-Tutorial Systems. We reviewed the literature relating to the incorporation of personalization factors. We give a brief description of each personalization factor. The main focus of this paper is based on analysis of the different personalization factors. Furthermore, we propose intelligence types and the change of negative beliefs as novel personalization factors. We summarize this material and conclude what are the personalization factors that must be incorporated in an Adaptive Tutorial System. Reprinted by permission of the publisher.
