Abstract
In this communication we report on the reaction of dimethyl 2-butynedioate (DMA) with the ((S/sub 4/)/sub 2/MoS)/sup 2 -/ anion in CH/sub 3/CN and on the crystal and molecular structure of one of the products, (Ph/sub 4/P)/sub 2/(Mo(S/sub 2/C/sub 2/(COOCH/sub 3/)/sub 2/)/sub 3/).DMF.C/sub 6/H/sub 6/ (I; DMF = dimethyl formamide).
