음악에는 단순한 음악적인 것 뿐 만이 아니라 역사 · 사회 · 시대상이 반영된다. 이와 더불어 교육 또한 이러한 변화의 영향을 받는다. 본 논문에서는 깊은 연관성을 지닌 음악 · 사회 ·교육과의 연관성을 모색해 보고자 한다. 음악사회학의 개념에서 아도르노의 사상까지 범위를 좁혀간 후, 현재 학교 교육에서 교육의 실체를 결정짓는 중요한 핵심인 ‘교육과정’과의 적용을 시도해 보았다. 교육과정은 사회적 · 교육적 염원과 미래의 비전이 응축되어 문서의 형태로 표출된 것이므로 음악 · 사회 · 교육의 연관성의 탐색에 있어 가장 좋은 문서라 할 수 있어 이러한 연구에 이르렀다.아도르노의 사상은 ‘음악 사회학에서 필요로 하는 것은 사회와 사회구조에서 음악의 효용가치에 대한 인식이나 음악적 현상에 대한 정보만이 아니라 음악에 대한 완전하고 포괄적인 이해이다’라고 말하면서 음악사회학이 갖는 중요성을 강조하였다. 그는 전통예술을 그대로 수용하지 않고 비판하고 부정하며 한편 자신을 자연과 동일 시 하는 예술론을 말하였다. 계몽과 부정을 통하여 변증법적 사상을 가진다. 또한 현대사회의 병리현상인 인간의 소회현상, 이성의 도구화, 자아상실감을 극복하기 위해 예술교육을 필요함을 주장하였다.2007년 음악과 개정 교육과정은 ‘활동’, ‘이해’, ‘생활화’로 ‘생활화’의 부분이 추가 되었으며, 고등학교 선택 개정 교육과정은 ‘음악의 이해’, ‘음악실기’, ‘음악과 사회’로 새롭게 음악 사회학적 접근이 화두가 되었다. 최근의 사회학적 요소들이 크게 포함되었을 뿐 아니라 음악교과와 다른 예술과의 관련성과 음악의 역할 · 가치를 강조하고 있다. 이러한 교육과정 중 이러한 사회학적 요인이 많이 반영된 부분을 발췌하여 아도르노의 사상과의 비교를 통해서 얻을 수 있는 교육적 효과를 정리해 보았다.음악사회학의 대표주자인 아도르노와 2007년 개정 교육과정과의 접목을 통해 음악사회학에 대한 철학적 · 미학적 관점에서의 연구를 해 보았다. 이러한 연구는 음악 교육에 있어 사회학적 관점이 중요시되는 이 시점에 적절한 연구로 여겨지며, 음악교육의 목표와 내용 선정의 기반이 되는 음악사회학에 대한 깊은 통찰이 되었다는 점에 이 논문의 의의를 두었다. 이러한 질적인 연구가 앞으로도 계속적으로 활발하게 이루어져야할 것이다.
Music does not only contain musical things but also it reflects on history, society and the age. Education receives the influence of these changes together. This thesis shows implication of music and society with education. From the concept of music sociology to Adorno’s ideology, I tried to apply music to process of education that confirms the facts of education in current school. The process of education contains social-educational hope and vision of the future in written version. It is the best record to look the relationship among music, society and education.In adorno’s ideology, he said that music sociology needs not only information of musical phenomenon and recognition of musical effective value but also fully understanding of music. As above, he focused on the importance of music sociology. He refused to accept traditional art as it was. He criticized and denied traditional art. On the other side, he mentioned that art theory means he and the nature are exactly the same. In his theory, he has a dialectic way of thinking through enlightenment and negation. He urged that we needed art education to overcome today's pathological symptom such as human alienation, instrumentalism and self-loss.Music and revised process of education in 2007 contained 'activity', 'comprehension' and 'application' which is added newly. The high school optional revised process of education includes 'understanding of music', 'applied music' and 'music and society'. It was a issue because of sociological approach. It also showed sociological traits and focus on relation between other arts and music courses with role of music. Among them, I extracted some sociological facts from revised process of education for the sake of comparison with adorno’s ideology to get educational effects.Therefore, I try to research the revised process of education with Music Sociology representative, Adorno, from the point of philosophical and aesthetical angle. On this point, it is very suitable study because of importance of sociology in music education. Therefore the thesis is concentrating on deep consideration for music sociology which is the basic of education aim and content selection. This kind of qualified research need to go on frequently.
