Abstract
The article ascertains the efficacy of Fenoldopam infusion in cardiac patients with acute kidney injury (AKI). The research conducted included 667 participants in a multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel group study in Italy. The findings indicated that Fenoldopam intervention did not reduce the need for renal replacement therapy or 30-day mortality risk in patients with AKI compared with the placebo-controlled group and an increased rate of hypotension was observed.
