Abstract
In der vorliegenden Arbeit werden die "Hauptergebnisse der Studie 'Sozialstruktur und Lebensweise in Städten' des Instituts für Marxistisch-Leninistische Soziologie bei der Akademie für Gesellschaftswissenschaften beim ZK der SED vorgestellt. Die zugrundeliegenden Untersuchungen wurden vor allem im Bezirk Dresden durchgeführt. Forschungsergebnisse aus anderen Territorien wurden miteinbezogen, Grundlage waren Materialien der Volks-, Berufs-, Wohnraum- und Gebäudezählungen (VBWGZ) vom 31.12.71 und vom 31.12.81. Stellung genommen wird 1. zu Funktion und sozialer Struktur der Städte, ihrer Rolle bei der Verwirklichung der Einheit von Wirtschafts- und Sozialpolitik; 2. zur Bevölkerungsentwicklung in den Städten, demografischen und sozialstrukturellen Aspekten der Migration; 3. zur sozialräumlichen Struktur der Stadt und des Stadtumlandes; 4. zu den Wohnbedingungen, vor allem in Städten." Zu diesen Themen werden Zahlen vorgelegt und z.T. ein hoher Grad an Verschleiß der vorhandenen Bausubstanz festgestellt. Schlußfolgerungen und Forderungen sind: "1. Erweiterung des Wohnungsbestandes durch Neubau und Erhaltung/Modernisierung von Altbauten; 2. Standortwahl von Neubausiedlungen nach den Bedürfnissen der Wohnbevölkerung und den Erfordernissen der Produktivkraftentwicklung; 3.größere Aufmerksamkeit für Erhaltung, Modernisierung und Erweiterung der technischen und sozialen Infrastruktur". This paper presents the "main results of the study “Social structure and way of life in cities” of the Institute of Marxist-Leninist Sociology at the Academy of Social Sciences at the ZK of the SED. The underlying investigations were carried out mainly in the district of Dresden. Research results from other territories were included. Materials from the census of the population, occupation, housing and buildings (VBWGZ), 31.12.71 and 31.12.81 were used. The opinion 1. the function and social structure of cities, their role in the realization of the unity of economic and social policy; 2. on urban population development, demographic and socio-structural aspects of migration; 3. the socio-spatial structure of the city and the surrounding area; 4. On living conditions, especially in cities."Figures are presented on these topics and a high degree of wear and tear of the existing building material is observed. Conclusions and demands are: "1. Extension of the housing stock through new construction and maintenance/modernization of old buildings; 2. The location of new housing estates according to the needs of the resident population and the requirements of the development of productive power; 3.greater attention to the preservation, modernization and expansion of technical and social infrastructure.
