Abstract
The Vehicle Autotracking and Positioning System (VAPS) is comprised of mobile sets and a base station. An expert system can fairly easily be developed to support this VAPS. This system includes the use of the Global Positioning System (GPS), a radio digital communication system (RDCS), a geographic information system (GIS) and a center digital information processor kit (CDIPK). This paper presents the development and expert system to support this complex system.
