Abstract
In order to monitor the patients in their daily environment, a large number of wireless ambient and body sensors are available. It however remains a challenge to merge information from several wireless sensors with the applications which make use of these data. Hence a middleware targeted for medical applications that run on Smartphone platforms would enable flexible coupling. The middleware is expected to have less energy consumption, produce less overhead on the Smartphone, and fast processing time under real-world circumstances, minimum CPU and memory utilization.
