Abstract
The grid forming technology is an attractive scheme for voltage source converter integrated into the power system. However, there is a risk of oscillation in the GFM-VSI grid-connected systems, and the interaction mechanism among controllers is not intuitively demonstrated. This paper defines the virtual torque coefficient of the GFM-VSI with the reactive power-voltage controller. And there are detailed discussions about the relationship between it and the system stability. The proposed virtual torque coefficient can reflect the incidence of the controller interaction on the system stability. The conclusions are validated in the two GFM-VSI parallel experiment platforms and single inverter grid-connected simulation system, and the impact of the reactive power-voltage controller on stability under different work conditions has been discussed.
