Abstract
The article reflects on an increased number of cases related to acute flaccid myelitis (AFM) as discussed by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). It mentions that characterization of AFM as an acute flaccid paralysis (AFP) distinguishable by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) abnormalities of the anterior and posterior spinal cord segments that involves one or more spinal segments.
