Abstract
A description of gravitational interaction based on the assumption about a change of the spacetime dimension in anisotropic regions of galaxies is proposed. Analysis of the rotation curves for 60 galaxies has shown a good correspondence to the description at gravitational constants of (2.7 ± 0.4) × 10 m kg s and (3.0 ± 1.0) × 10 m kg s for 2D and 1D interactions, respectively. Agreement is achieved with only two fitting parameters. The galaxy mass estimates obtained are saturated with the baryonic matter mass. The characteristic size, (7.4 ± 0.5) × 10 m, at which the spatial symmetry is rearranged with an effective change of the space dimension has been determined. The interaction force and symmetry are shown to be related to the symmetry of gravitating objects. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
