This article discusses the use of a multi-level bilateral ultrasound-guided retrolaminar block as a part of fast-track spinal deformity surgery. The traditional surgeries for correcting spinal deformities are associated with postoperative pain, blood loss, functional limitations, and potential complications. The use of multimodal analgesia, including opioids, can have adverse effects. The retrolaminar block technique has been found to be effective in reducing opioid consumption. The article presents two cases where the multi-level bilateral retrolaminar block was performed, resulting in minimal opioid consumption and lower pain scores for up to 24 hours post-surgery.
