Abstract
To investigate the effects of different types of golf swing training tools on the club speed and driver shot distance of amateur male golfers over a 12-week period, a pre-post test control group design was applied. Eighteen participants enrolled in the Golf Academy program at Y University's Lifelong Education Center in Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, were sampled. Driver shot distances, including club speed, distance, and ball speed, were measured before and after the study. The following results were obtained: Firstly, an analysis of the effects on club speed of amateur male golfers' driver shots after 12 weeks of using different types of golf swing training tools revealed a statistically significant interaction between groups and time periods. The experimental group showed the most significant increase in club speed compared to the control group, indicating that the TempoFlex Swing Training Tool had a positive impact on driver club speed. Secondly, an analysis of the effects on the driver shot distance of amateur male golfers after 12 weeks of using various types of golf swing training tools also showed a statistically significant interaction between groups and time periods. Similar to the club speed results, the experimental group exhibited the most significant increase in shot distance compared to the control group, suggesting that the TempoFlex Swing Training Tool contributed to an increase in driver shot distance. Lastly, an analysis of the effects on ball speed of amateur male golfers' driver shots after 12 weeks of using different types of golf swing training tools revealed a statistically significant interaction between groups and time periods. Once again, the experimental group demonstrated the most significant increase in ball speed compared to the control group, providing further evidence of the effectiveness of the TempoFlex Swing Training Tool.
