Abstract
This study developed a learning program on education welfare in order for student teachers to improve their capabilities on this area. The learning program was applied to student teachers of K university who volunteered to participate. Effects of the learning program were analyzed and some implications were drawn from the results. The results show that the learning program contributed to the improvement of student teachers' understanding and self-efficacy on education welfare matters and that the participants strongly supported the necessity of such learning experiences for student teachers. Major implications from this study are as follows. First, learning program on education welfare is more helpful especially for student teachers lacking prior experience related to this issue. Second, considering the first implication, the learning program has to be organized on the basis of participants' level and stage of readiness regarding education welfare matters. Third, application of diverse learning methods must be useful for elevating the effect of learning.
