Abstract
Discusses the ECJ decision in Torresi v Consiglio dell'Ordine degli Avvocati di Macerata (C-58/13) on whether the Italian authorities were entitled to refuse the registration of two Italian nationals as "lawyers qualified abroad" on the ground that their decision to qualify as lawyers in Spain and then return to Italy to practice amounted to an abuse of the right of establishment provided by Directive 98/5 art.3.
