Presentation of CaseA 63-year-old woman was admitted to the hospital because of fever, a bullous lesion on the right buttock, and subcutaneous emphysema.The patient was well until one month earlier, when there was the onset of intermittent constipation and diarrhea, with occasional fecal incontinence. Four days before admission she experienced weakness and an increase in pain due to long-standing arthritis of the knees.
