Abstract
Korea and China are friendly neighbors, and through decades of mutual help to make up what the other lacks, two countries have established a friendly cooperation. Especially several years ago, more and more Chinese people have started to learn Korean on account of the influence of the “Hallyu Wave”.In order to conform this trend, not only many universities start to opening Korean courses, but also lots of Korean teachers enter the Chinese Education System. Consequently, this forms two categories that native Korean teachers and the Korean teachers who are Chinese. These two kinds of teachers have their own characteristics no matter in linguistic proficiency or teaching methods, but the traditional way of teaching separates these two types of teachers and restricts their characteristics to display. In order to overcome this shortcoming, we should analyze how Chinese college students behave in the Korean classes led by Chinese teachers and Korean teachers and seek an appropriate teaching method. Therefore, this research paper aims to find a teaching method that can make full use of educational resources and overcome Chinese and Korean teachers’ weakness. The research paper will include qualitative with quantitative studies by investigating Korean major students and teachers; collect and organize related literature; analyze native Korean teachers and Chinese teachers’ strengths and weaknesses as well as gathering students’ experiences. Hopefully this research could be helpful to the Course of China’s Korean education and also benefit the students who take Korean as their second foreign language.
