With the development of modern mass media, the public are touching more performance literary such as TV drama than traditional literary genres such as poetry and fiction. This study compared 『Gag Concert』 which is a popular comedy TV program in Korea and 『Chunman Xiao-pin』 which is a popular comedy TV program in China. I will present the meanings and value of performance studies through the similarities and differences in the two comedy TV programs. Also, I want a discussion about the development direction of these comedy programs. With the technological advances of the modern world, as culture diffusion technology dramatically developed , the area of popular culture has greatly broadened. It is mainly movies and dramas which genres are propagated by mass media. Because people are getting stress and nervous in heartless society, they are losing their laugh. There appeared variety kinds of comedy programs as the answer to solve the problems. In addition, their influence is so strong that we consider it one of the most important cultural phenomenon. Accordingly, it is important to improve soundly. After analyzing problems and characteristics of them, I will propose how they should be developed and improved continuously. In recent years, there are many comparative studies between Korea literature and Chinese literature. But there are very few studies of play literature or performance literature such as 『Chunman Xiao-pin』 and 『Gag Concert』. In this paper, as a typical example of the performance literature, they will be analyzed with the show's inner and outer attributes. The internal characteristics of the show are focusing on the script and the others are focusing on the each element of the show. Through this, it is expected to be able to find the value of them more. Therefore healthy development of 『Chunman Xiao-pin』 and 『Gag Concert』 plays crucial role in the popular culture. So, emergence of 『Chunman Xiao-pin』 and 『Gag Concert』 is a reflected result from modern society needs and made comedy advance.
