Abstract
Gamow states expansions have become a tool of choice to describe nuclei close to drip lines, as they properly incorporate continuum effects already on the level of single-particle basis. For example, resonant expansions have been used with RPA, HF, HF+BCS approaches and in the shell model within the traditional core/valence space framework. However, a resonant HFB theory still remains to be formulated, as well as a no-core shell model for nuclear resonant states. In this paper, we discuss the Gamow-Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov (GHFB) problem with a positive chemical potential. It will be shown that a modification of both standard HF/HFB theories and underlying interactions is necessary to be able to perform calculations for unbound nuclei in GHFB and eventually Gamow QRPA (GQRPA).
