Abstract
We developed the treatment method of aldehyde by using enzyme-immobilized hydrogel.The hydrogel containing alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH) from yeast converted acetaldehyde in aqueous phase into acetic acid and ethanol. This reaction mechanism of ADH was indicated it catalyzes dismutation of aldehyde in the hydrogel.
