Abstract
Steven H. Putnam, Kenneth M. Adams and A.M. Schneider's justification for the validity of neuropsychological tests on the basis of the concurrence of two neuropsychologists over a single case is weak and betrays their misunderstanding of the argument for more stringent evaluation of the reliability of neuropsychology in legal proceedings. The presence of a substantial amount of negative research about an issue means that reliable predictions about it cannot be made, while existence of a considerable amount of supportive research would justify admissibility of expert testimony of neuropsychologists.
