Abstract
This study is about the aspects and trends of cultural contents for the development of spatial contents for the Donghak(東學) Peasant Revolution in Buan(扶安). The purpose of this study is to present an alternative that Buan(扶安) Baeksan(白山) Historical Park can be converted into the spatial contents so that koreans in the 21st century can sympathize with and experience, rather than staying in the past space of memories as historical documents or commemorative events. As the first dicussion stage of this study, the existing research trends on the categories and aspects of cultural contents related to the Donghak(東學) Peasant Revolution were examined. From the early 1960s, academic journal papers or dissertations on cultural contents began to appear, and the number steadily increased. What is particularly striking about these existing discussions is that as we enter 2015, discussions about the location, status and methodologies of cultural contents are frequently being discussed. Furthermore, in the late 2010s, more and more local cases where cultural contents were fused with technology are appearing. In particular, research on cultural contents related to the Donghak Peasant Revolution produced in the late 2000s is being discussed in relation to local cases. Next, we discussed the literary achievements of reproducing the Donghak(東學) Peasant Revolution in Buan(扶安) in Korean literature, focusing on the prototype of the contents in Korean literature. Park Tae-won and Song Ki-suk vividly reproduce the reality of the Baeksan Congress(白山大會) in the preceding epic, Baeksan(白山) is highlighted as a gathering place to a new world and a starting point for victory in Jeonju-seong(全州城). In the previous epic, Shin Dong-yup vividly conveys the story of the Donghak(東學) Peasant Revolution in Gobu(古阜), Baeksan(白山), and Jeonju(全州). And in the previous play, Cha Beom-seok reminds us that the Donghak(東學) Peasant Revolution is still a current event, starting with the death of General Nokdu in the past and ending with the death of a righteous person who is currently being persecuted. As a result, the song reminds us that the Donghak(東學) Peasant Revolution is still a current event. In the last discussion, six spaces that can be concretely realized as spatial contents in Buan(扶安) Baeksan(白山) Historical Park were planned: a digital platform, an experience space, a performance space, an education space, an exhibition space, and a communication space. The spatial contents planned and created in this way will serve as a foundation for local residents as well as general spatial visitors to experience and inherit the spirit of Donghak(東學), and it is expected that it will act as a driving force for the expansion and development of richer Donghak(東學) Peasant Revolution cultural contents.
