Abstract
The aim of this paper is to present the OpticsLTl trainer The distribution of ports and configuration was based on quantitative performance parameters such as optimal working angles, the intracorporeal-extracorporeal relationship of the instruments, the position of the surgical target and the triangulation of the instruments, among other parameters. A total of 25 surgeons participated in the different performance tests. Face and content validity was performed by laparoscopic surgeons and construct validity by medical students comparing the OpticsLT1 trainer versus the FLS trainer. OpticsLT1 trainer was successfully validated and is a useful tool to objectively evaluate the psychomotor skills of the surgeon. Its portability, ease of use, and connectivity make it practical for the didactic aspects of teaching and learning.
