Abstract
In this paper, a non-isolated quadratic boost high-gain DC-DC converter is proposed and analyzed comprehensively. It’s capable of achieving an adequate voltage gain ratio when compared to standard high-gain boost converters. Various factors are kept in mind while selecting or designing a converter for its respective application-fine parameters (steady-state), efficient performance. Here, the proposed topology has two switches that aid in reduced voltage stress across diodes (less burden amongst components). Additionally, as the non-isolated converter draws an input current that is continuous in nature, the converter becomes an ideal choice for renewable energy applications. The topology was simulated on PLECS software. However, it was noted that the experimental, theoretical and simulated results closely agree with each other.
