Abstract
In this paper, an axial-gap magnetic levitation PM motor with a magnetic bearing consisting of a pyrolytic graphite and a ring Halbach array permanent magnet is proposed. A full-passive magnetic levitation motor with a diamagnetic disk has been proposed with no mechanical contact between the rotor and the stator. to avoid radial touchdown. Experimental validation is conducted on the proposed motor and the maximum rotational speed is measured.
