Abstract
The present work aims to analyze, using economic feasibility techniques such as NPV, IRR and payback, the investment in solar panels by universities, taking as an example, the panels installed on the campus of the Federal University of Itajubá. To perform this analysis, data collected through a supervisory system in the years 2016 and 2017 of the photovoltaic system installed in one of the university buildings were used. With this, one can evaluate the investment indexes with old and updated values and provide parameters for investors in the sector who intend to produce energy through this equipment.
