Abstract
A modern smart home contains a large number of different systems that provide microclimate control, household appliances management, video surveillance, security and much more. Building smart home systems is increasingly based on IoT. Connecting home objects via IoT allows you to remotely monitor and manage them, monitor the state of the house at any time. Unfortunately, there is a downside to using smart devices. Access to smart devices can not only cause direct harm (or example, equipment failure), but also allow an attacker to obtain personal information such as credit card details, passwords to various resources, and information from video surveillance systems. Unfortunately, as numerous incident reports show, modern IoT devices are weak in cybersecurity. Thus, due to the rapid growth in the popularity of smart homes, the problem of ensuring their information security becomes critical. The article highlights the factors affecting the information security of smart home systems, and identifies modern approaches to ensuring the security of these systems.
